Where are our glasses from?
At the beginning of the adventure in 2017, it took several months to select the most demanding partners capable of meeting our quality standards and constant technological innovations.
At the beginning of the adventure in 2017, it took several months to select the most demanding partners capable of meeting our quality standards and constant technological innovations.
Finding ideal partners who can meet technical specifications and patented technologies was not an easy task.
But we have found rare gems: workshops and factories located between China and Taiwan (depending on the model of glasses and materials used, as well as the "phase" of glass design).
These partners enable us to achieve optical performance that no other equipment supplier in the market can surpass 🔥.
Our partner located in China is a leading player in frame manufacturing, especially for equipment suppliers specialized in professional protection, ballistic protection, and sports glasses.
Our glasses are tested by an independent laboratory (resistance to impacts, fire, deformation, etc.) and comply with CE standards (ISO12312-1:2013+A1:2015), North American standards (ANSI Z80.3:2018), and Australia/New Zealand standards (AS/NZS 1067.1:2016).
In other words, we know our stuff when it comes to quality!
Often synonymous with very poor quality merchandise (and let's be frank, often counterfeited), "Made in China" or "Made in Taiwan" can, on the contrary, be a sign of quality in the optical industry 😍 (provided that certain criteria are met!).
Nevertheless, we are aware of the environmental and social issues that this entails 👇👇👇.
The factories and workshops we collaborate with are carefully and frequently audited and comply with recognized international standards (including the SA8000 standard), which ensure humane and ethical manufacturing practices.
In the optical industry, factories in this area often have strict standards that they are proud to showcase.
Logistics: Our imports are mainly done by sea rather than by air (We are currently working to eventually favor trains).
Manufacturing: We are currently in the design phase of new frames made from natural and recycled materials. At the same time, our factories comply with the ISO 14001 standard.
Donations: We are members of 1% for the Planet in order to donate 1% of our sales to French associations that fight on a daily basis to counter the effects of climate change (including Terre & Humanisme).
